“The turning point for me came when thanks to Luciano Attolico I understood that the approach to lean production, or without waste, fluid and value-oriented, could be translated into one’s own lifestyle, the Lean lifestyle. He and his collaborators taught me to rationalize processes and recognize low value-added activities and especially focused on who is behind the processes: people. Only by involving them, giving them an active part in change, could I have achieved innovation in my company. I have also learned to develop strategies and measure the time spent on each activity. Since I have the awareness of the impact of my actions I pursue continuous improvement. In my private life it means writing down the objectives, distinguishing between short-term and long-term goals. Break the elephant, which is to break down the goals into intermediate milestones and set a time to get there. Adopt new habits and abandon those harmful ones, which make me waste time.”
