From the Lean application in production processes to the Lean Lifestyle to apply Lean Thinking in and for people, it was natural, given the context extremely attentive to well-being within the company. The Lean Transformation project at Orogel, leader in the Italian frozen food market, started in the jam department in 2016 and then expanded to other departments under the leadership of General Manager Giancarlo Foschi. From the outset, the challenge was to accelerate the execution of ideas for improvement, develop the skills and versatility of operators, and make people grow at all levels through delegation and the construction of structured organizational routines. "When I think about the project we have realized - recalls Andrea Maldini, Coordinator of the Orogel "Smart 360" Jam System - I often compare it to the ploughing activity of the fields: this because thanks to this simple activity without the addition of too many fertilizers the land becomes more fertile ready the new season and so in Orogel we started with what we had to record important improvements in terms of yield and work well-being.”
