“I remotely manage a team of 12/15 department managers located in every corner of the planet. Working this way and having the opportunity to meet my collaborators in person only once a year has led me to develop a new leadership style and in this I have certainly been helped by the Lean Lifestyle Leadership model. In fact, working remotely the distance between reality and perception is dangerously thin and it is more difficult to build relationships based on everyone's authenticity. For this reason, as soon as I start working with a new team, I dedicate time, with specific individual meetings, to laying the foundations for a relationship that does not start from mutual perceptions. The Lean Lifestyle Leader approach has contributed to my growth and to the achievement of results with the teams I manage. If I had to give advice, I would definitely say to never judge the person in front of you and to never stop asking questions to improve your leadership, taking the point of view of your collaborators.”
